mtoto wa mama
This week was a fun work week. Our department moved from downtown to offices near where we live. This is great for me because it is only 5 minutes drive from our house. that means more time to feed my baby in the morning. I can even go and visit Rehema at daycare... I can even go home for lunch, I did it twice this week. Then I realised that it is not wise for a mom who uses her lunch break to pump milk for her baby to spend 10 minutes driving and 5 minutes walking to the car. I decided to stick it out and continue nursing Rehema after I went back to work. after doing it for five months, I am used to it, though I must admit it feels funny to see moms nursing their newborns and here I am nursing my ?!? pounder. it has worked well for Rehema and I and I do not regret it.
Fridays are fun days for Rehema and I. I work 4 days a week, 10 hours a day so I get friday off. the stronger people go for the 12 hours a day...I am not strong enough to do that. Rehema gets a day off daycare too. I get to go to the gym, now that I have an army physical fitness test coming up in November. then Rehema and I go for a breastfeeding support group in the mornings...I am not sure why I still go for the support group...support for other moms? maybe? I will stop when she is too heavy for the scale. then we go downtown or go shopping for? and just hang out.

Rehema
I think I am having an identity crisis for my baby...I know she is a child of God, but I wonder who is she? is she a Kenyan? American? Kenyan American? American Kenyan? or does it really matter? after all she is a child of God.
