priceless moments
a priceless moment is when I come home from work on saturday (overtime) and find the house clean, laundry done, bathroom cleaned and Sila and Rehema gone to give me some alone quiet time.
a priceless moment is when after changing Rehema's dirty diaper she looks at me and says "thank you mommy"
Thank you Sila and Rehema for giving me many of those priceless moments

Thankfulness
I was tagged by Mrs Crumley and finally I get time to answer that tag. This is the first saturday in a loooooooooog time I am not working.
Three things I am thankful for:
a) I am thankful to God for sacrificing His Only Begotten Son to die for me, so that because I believe in Him, I will not perish but have everlasting life. and I have to add my favorite verse to that, which is paraphrased, God did demonstrate His love to me in this, while I was still a sinner,Christ died for me.
b)I am thankful for Sila and Rehema. They make me a better person and I love them. My family who are far far away, I know they pray for us almost everyday.
c)I am thankful for my friends, here in Chattanooga and those far away too. It is challenging when you live very far away from your family, and a baby complicates the mix, but our friends have been there for us and for that I am forever thankful. They have showed us their love in many ways.
here are my three people, consider yourself tagged:

Birthday
Today is Rehema's 2nd Birthday...She sure has changed our lives. She has brought joy and more love to our lives, taught us patience. I never thought I could read the same book 5 times on the same day with the same energy.
Happy Birthday Rehema, we love you

January...washes white as 'ice'
This weekend we got Rehema a toddler bed, and she was so excited about it. She kept on going to lie on it and I think she thought it was pretty cool. we went to sleep without incident and I was just waiting for the fall :) because she usually does not sleep at one spot. Rehema did not disappoint, in the middle of the night I heard a noise and then followed by a cry and surely enough she was on the floor. She has learnt quickly that you can fall from the bed and there have been no incidents after that.
I feel pretty good about January. I had set some goals and one of them was going to the gym at least 3 times a week and I did achieve that. it helps that I registered for the frequest user program that they have at the gym, it kinda motivates me a little. I got myself a recipe book last year called "Don't panic, Dinner's in the Freezer" It features dozens of quick and easy and yummy recipes that are designed to be prepared in quantity and frozen ahead. I made a menu and set aside a cook day and cooked or prepared lots of food and then froze them in our family size portions. That has led to more family time and time to rest.
when the early missionaries came to some African countries, they translated the hymns and songs they came with into the language spoken in that particular community, for example Swahili. One particular song was :oh, the blood of Jesus, it washes white as snow" and they had a hard time translating the word 'snow' since the local people had never seen snow. the closest translation they could find was 'ice' but after seeing snow on thursday, and the way it was so white, ice does not come close. I wish we have another 'ice' day, like on a saturday
